Below, please find the particulars from Migration's press release:
Saturday June 29th 2013 12PM to close will mark Migration’s 2nd annual Migrating Towards A Cure. This annual event is an effort to assist local families and organizations that are working towards curing and working with those who have been diagnosed with severe illnesses and disabilities.
Migrating Towards a Cure was created in 2012 to help a local family who is near and dear to Migration. This family had the unfortunate circumstances of both parents being diagnosed with cancer, which led migration to help out and raise $5,000 in this inaugural event.
This years beneficiary will be CHAP (Children’s Healing Art Project) an amazing organization whose mission is to: “bring the healing power of art to children in crisis through a mobile team of teaching artists working in a partnership with hospitals, community organizations and schools. At CHAP, children are known for their creativity and ingenuity—not by their disease, diagnosis or disability.”
Migration will host live bands that have graciously donated their time and musical ability to help raise money for Migrating To a Cure. Migration will be donating a sizeable percent of house proceeds from the day and all revenue generated from the $10 suggestion door donation will be donated to CHAP.
So please come join us for an afternoon celebrating the amazing people who work with CHAP while giving what we can to help this amazing organization. There will be a suggested donation of $10 at the door, but all we ask is to give what you can. Even by stopping by and enjoying a beer on the patio you will be doing your part to Migrate Towards A Cure.
